  • Cosmetic Consultation FAQ

    1. Why do I need a cosmetic consultation before treatment?

Every person is different, so every treatment plan should be too. Your consultation allows us to understand your concerns, medical history, lifestyle and goals before recommending suitable options. It's also an opportunity for you to ask questions, understand what to expect and make an informed decision about your care.

    2. What happens during my cosmetic consultation?

We'll discuss your concerns, review your medical history, assess your skin or treatment area, and talk through the options that may be suitable for you. We'll explain expected outcomes, treatment timelines, costs, aftercare and any potential risks so you have a clear understanding before proceeding.

    3. I'm not sure what treatment I need. Can you help?

Absolutely. Many of our clients aren't sure which treatment is best when they first visit us. Our role is to assess your concerns and recommend a personalised treatment plan based on your skin, goals and lifestyle rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

    4. Can I have treatment on the same day as my consultation?

In many cases, yes. If you've had sufficient time to consider your options, treatment may be performed on the same day where clinically appropriate. Some treatments require preparation or additional planning, which we'll discuss during your consultation.

    5. How long does a consultation take?

Consultation times vary depending on the service you've booked. Our comprehensive Skin Treatment Planning Consultation allows plenty of time to assess your concerns, answer your questions and develop a personalised treatment plan.

    6. How should I prepare for my consultation?

Come with clean skin where possible and be ready to discuss your medical history, medications, skincare routine and any previous cosmetic treatments. If you have photos showing how your skin has changed over time, these can also be helpful.

    7. Will I receive a personalised treatment plan?

Yes. Every consultation is tailored to your individual concerns. If treatment is appropriate, we'll recommend a personalised plan outlining suitable options, expected treatment timelines, approximate costs and recommended home care to help you achieve your goals.

    8. What if I decide not to have treatment?

That's completely fine. Our consultations are designed to educate and help you make an informed decision. There is no obligation to proceed with treatment.

  • Skin Treatments FAQ

    1. Which skin treatment is right for me?

The most suitable treatment depends on your skin type, concerns, lifestyle and goals. During your consultation we'll assess your skin and recommend a personalised treatment plan, which may include one treatment or a combination of treatments to achieve the best outcome.

    2. What skin concerns can be treated?

Our skin treatments may help improve concerns such as uneven skin tone, pigmentation, redness, sun damage, enlarged pores, fine lines, acne scarring and overall skin texture. Your consultation helps determine which options are appropriate for your individual skin.

    3. Will one treatment fix my skin?

Most skin concerns develop over time and usually require a series of treatments rather than a single session. Healthy skin is an ongoing journey supported by professional treatments, good skincare and daily sun protection.

    4. Can different skin treatments be combined?

Yes. Many clients achieve the best results by combining treatments that address different aspects of skin health. Your treatment plan may include therapies such as IPL, radiofrequency, microneedling, chemical peels or LED therapy, depending on your goals.

    5. How long does it take to see results?

This depends on the treatment and your individual skin. Some treatments may produce visible improvements within a few weeks, while others stimulate gradual changes that develop over several months as your skin naturally renews.

    6. Is there any downtime after skin treatments?

Downtime varies depending on the treatment performed. Some procedures involve little to no downtime, while others may cause temporary redness, dryness or peeling. We'll explain what to expect and provide personalised aftercare instructions before your appointment.

    7. Do I need to stop using active skincare before treatment?

Some active ingredients, such as retinoids and exfoliating acids, may need to be paused before certain treatments. We'll provide clear pre-treatment instructions based on the procedure you're having.

    8. How do I maintain healthy skin after treatment?

Professional treatments work best when combined with a consistent home skincare routine and daily sun protection. We'll recommend products and maintenance treatments that are appropriate for your skin and long-term goals.

  • Nano Fractional Radiofrequency (RF) FAQ

    1. What is Nano Fractional Radiofrequency?

Nano Fractional Radiofrequency combines tiny pins with radiofrequency energy to stimulate collagen and elastin production deeper within the skin. It is designed to improve skin quality while supporting natural skin renewal.

    2. What skin concerns can RF treat?

RF may help improve skin texture, enlarged pores, acne scarring, fine lines and mild skin laxity while promoting overall skin rejuvenation.

    3. Is RF different from microneedling?

Yes. While both treatments stimulate collagen production, Nano Fractional RF also delivers radiofrequency energy beneath the skin's surface, providing a different mechanism of skin rejuvenation. During your consultation we'll recommend the most suitable treatment for your goals.

    4. Does RF treatment hurt?

Comfort varies from person to person. Topical numbing cream is available to improve comfort, and most clients tolerate treatment well.

    5. What downtime should I expect?

Most people experience redness for one to three days, with some dryness or a sandpaper-like texture as the skin heals. Individual recovery times vary.

    6. How many treatments are recommended?

Most clients benefit from a series of 3–4 monthly treatments followed by maintenance treatments every six months, depending on their skin goals.

    7. Can RF help improve acne scarring?

Nano Fractional RF is commonly included in treatment plans for acne scarring because it supports collagen remodelling. During your consultation we'll assess your scars and discuss realistic treatment expectations.

    8. How can I maintain my results?

Maintaining a healthy skincare routine, protecting your skin from UV exposure and attending maintenance treatments as recommended can help support long-term results.

  • Microneedling FAQ

    1. What is microneedling?

Microneedling is a collagen induction treatment that creates controlled micro-channels within the skin. This stimulates your skin's natural healing response and supports improvements in skin texture, fine lines and overall skin quality.

    2. What skin concerns can microneedling improve?

Microneedling may be recommended for concerns including fine lines, acne scarring, enlarged pores, uneven skin texture and overall skin rejuvenation. Your consultation will determine whether it's suitable for your skin.

    3. Does microneedling hurt?

Most clients find microneedling very tolerable. We also offer topical numbing cream to maximise comfort during treatment where appropriate.

    4. How long does it take to recover?

Most people experience redness similar to mild sunburn for 24–48 hours. Some dryness or light flaking may occur as the skin renews over the following few days.

    5. How many treatments will I need?

For best results, we generally recommend a series of 3–4 treatments approximately four weeks apart. Your personalised treatment plan will depend on your skin concerns and goals.

    6. Can I wear makeup afterwards?

We usually recommend avoiding makeup for the first 24 hours after treatment to allow your skin to recover. We'll provide detailed aftercare instructions before you leave the clinic.

    7. Can microneedling be combined with other treatments?

Yes. Microneedling is often incorporated into a comprehensive skin treatment plan and may be combined with treatments such as LED therapy or other skin rejuvenation procedures where appropriate.

    8. How long do the results last?

Results vary between individuals and are influenced by factors such as age, skincare, sun exposure and lifestyle. Maintenance treatments may be recommended to help support ongoing skin health.

  • IPL Skin Rejuvenation FAQ

    1. What is IPL Skin Rejuvenation?

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is a non-invasive light-based treatment that targets pigmentation, sun damage, redness and visible blood vessels while supporting overall skin rejuvenation. It works by delivering pulses of light into the skin, allowing your body to naturally clear unwanted pigment and vascular changes over time.

    2. What skin concerns can IPL help improve?

IPL may be suitable for concerns including sun damage, age spots, freckles, uneven skin tone, facial redness, rosacea-related redness, broken capillaries and overall skin clarity. During your consultation we'll determine whether IPL is appropriate for your skin type and goals.

    3. Does IPL hurt?

Most people describe IPL as feeling like a quick rubber band snap against the skin. The sensation is brief and generally well tolerated. Your comfort is important to us, and we'll talk you through the treatment before we begin.

    4. How many IPL treatments will I need?

The number of treatments varies depending on your skin concerns and goals. Many clients benefit from a series of 4–6 treatments, followed by maintenance treatments as recommended by your clinician.

    5. Is there any downtime after IPL?

Downtime is usually minimal. You may experience mild redness for a few hours, and pigmented spots often darken before naturally flaking away over the following 7–14 days. We'll provide personalised aftercare instructions before you leave the clinic.

    6. Can I wear makeup after IPL?

Depending on your skin's response, light mineral makeup can often be worn the following day. We'll advise you based on your individual treatment and recommend appropriate skincare during the healing process.

    7. How should I prepare for my IPL appointment?

We recommend avoiding excessive sun exposure and fake tan before treatment. Certain active skincare products may also need to be paused for several days. You'll receive personalised preparation instructions before your appointment.

    8. How can I maintain my IPL results?

Daily broad-spectrum sunscreen, a consistent skincare routine and maintenance IPL treatments as recommended can help prolong your results and support long-term skin health.
